KILIMANJARO CLIMB, WEEKLY DEPARTURES STARTING 1ST OF JUNE TILL THE END OF SEPTEMBER


Day 1: Kilimanjaro Airport - Tanzania 

13:45– Arrival to Kilimanjaro Airport. Meet and Assist, Transfer to your hotel and evening briefing about 
the itinerary. 
Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Machame Gate 

08:00– Breakfast, Transfer to Machame Gate (alt. 1800m). 6-8 hours walk through thick mountain forest 
to Machame Hut (alt.3000m). 
Dinner & Overnight at Machame Hut Camp. 

Day 3: Shira Plateau, Acclimatization day

07:30– Breakfast, 4-6 hours trekking through the moor land zone, enjoying superb views of Shira Plateau 
and Mount Meru. 
Dinner & overnight at Shira Plateau Camp (alt. 3840m). 

Day 4: Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, Barranco Valley

08:00– Breakfast, Hike up to Lava tower, alt. 4600m and then drops down to the Barranco Valley. Dinner 
& overnight at Barranco Hut (alt. 3950m). 

Day 5: Barranco Valley to Karanga Valley 

07:00– Breakfast, Climbing of the Barranco wall. Trek South to Karanga Valley. 
Dinner & overnight at Karanga Valley Camp (alt. 4132m). 

Day6 : Karanga Valley to Barufu Hut (alt. 4600m) to Uhuru Peak (alt. 5895m) 

07:00–Breakfast, Walk across alpine desert and moraine fields to reach Barafu Camp after 3-4hrs walk 
(alt. 4600m). Enjoy panoramic view of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. 
Rest and try to get some sleep for better acclimatization. 

Day 7: Barufu Hut (alt. 4600m) to Uhuru Peak (alt. 5895m) 

Midnight– Small Snack and Tea, Start a 6 to 7 Hours hike to reach the rim of the crater, Stella Point. (alt. 
5735m). Small rest, then 1 h hike to the summit, Uhuru Peak at 5895m. 
09:00: Descend to Millennium Camp (alt. 3500m). 
Dinner & overnight at Millennium Camp 

Day 8 : Millennium Camp, Mweka Gate .

08:00– Easy walk to Mweka Gate, transfer you to hotel. 
Evening dinner in Moshi to celebrate the success of the climb. 
Overnight stay at a Moshi hotel. 

Day 9 : Safari, Arusha National Park 

07:00–Drive to Arusha National Park for a full day drive inside the park, with picnic lunch 
16:40–Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport
