50 km far from Beirut, covering two percent of the total area of Lebanon, lies the “Al-Chouf Cedar nature
Reserve” consisting of three major forests which account for a quarter of the remaining cedar forests of
Lebanon.
In the reserve, 2000 year old trees can be found as well as various species of mountain birds and plants
and mammals such as wolves and Lebanese jungle cats.
On Sunday 24th of August 08, Blue Carrot Adventures organized a hiking trip in the “Arz El
Barouk Reserve”.
